How can I apply?
6th grade students metro Atlanta Public Schools (this includes counties outside of the Atlanta Public School System) are eligible to apply. You may obtain an application by downloading one from our website, or by calling 404-262-3032, ext 1443.
Is there a cost to the program?
The only cost is commitment! The program is made possible through the generous support of many friends, businesses, and foundations.
When are applications due?
Applications for the 2012 Summer Session are due March 1, 2012.
When will admissions decisions be made?
Admissions decisions are made in late April.
Who are the teachers?
The teachers are talented high school and college students, many of whom come from the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country.
Are transportation and meals provided?
Yes. Norfolk Public Breakthrough Atlanta provides transportation for students at various stops in Atlanta. Breakfast and lunch are provided for students every day of the program.
Do the students take field trips?
Yes. During the summer session students take college trips, participate in community service activities throughout Atlanta.
