What to Expect
...On your first day
Have you ever had your very own cheering section? At Breakthrough Atlanta, you will! When you arrive, you'll find our team-and your student mentors-waiting for you. We think you'll be surprised by the genuine spirit and enthusiasm of their greeting!
We'll take you on a tour of the campus that will be an important part of your life for the next six years. You'll meet your teachers, learn everything you need to know about where to do and what to do, and find out about all the very special opportunities that are waiting for you. You'll even have time to make some new friends.
Then, the hard work begins. After all, your path to college and a successful life begins on the very first day. But don't worry, we work hard and play hard. There's plenty of time for having fun, too.
...Over the next six years...
As you succeed in the program and get ready for college, you'll work hard. But you'll have fun, too. Sure, you'll get a head start to put you on the path to success, but you'll also explore the arts, science experiments, technology, creative writing, physical education, and even public speaking. You'll have opportunities that students never even dreamed of just a generation or two before you. We hope you're as excited as we are. It's going to be a great six years!
